There's plenty for all ages to do in the Pumlumon area. Enjoy a narrow-gauge train ride to Devil's Bridge, watch the Red Kite feeding at Bwylch Nant-yr-Arian, or find out about hydro-electric power in the Rheidol Valley. Take a leisurely drive through some of the best scenery in Mid Wales, or if you would like to test your nerves you can go underground on a mine tour.

If you are interested in the history of the area, you can visit a historic abbey or get the low down on how the miner's used to live and work. Learn about the battles that took place here, and the story of Owain Glyndwr.

Whatever the weather, you'll find something of interest, and it won't cost the earth - there are lots of free things to do. And don't forget, there are loads of places to eat, from picnic sites to restaurants and cafes.
