Dolau Afon Holidays is a friendly husband and wife run business. Nestled deep in the Ystwyth Valley, on a tranquil riverside location, within the Cambrian Mountains.
Dolau Afon offers self-catering accommodation and a small 20 pitch touring campsite.
Our Campsite is a small (1.5 acre) but beautifully formed, independent licenced site. We have 20 pitches of which 3/5 are hard standings with 14 electric pitches. A new shower and toilet block was built in 2020 which complements the lovely site. The site is sheltered, by being surrounded by trees and is south facing.
Our Lodge is an open plan, self-contained studio style layout, with walk in wet room and sleeps two adults. French doors open onto the beautiful and peaceful riverside garden. The accommodation is centrally heated with a log burner.
Our Cottage has a 4-star rating with Visit Wales. The Cottages is also open plan and self-contained, with a mezzanine bedroom which sleeps 2 adults. The Cottage has a well-equipped kitchen, has a shower room, log burner and electric heating.
Both the Cottage and the Lodge are stylish and cosy, with lovely soft furnishings and everything you need for a restful stay, whether it’s a short or a longer stay, and both have a welcoming and friendly feel to them.
The whole of our property sits close to the river, and access is via gate in the corner of the camping field – the river has been for generations a popular swimming spot, with fishing from our bank. We offer a complementary licence to fish the river all the way to the sea – spinning, lure, or fly.
Vernon and Jill have owned Dolau Afon since 2015 and brought it from a sad and rundown property, into a lovely welcoming, well maintained holiday business. They have had countless wonderful reviews from happy guests and make it their mission to go the extra mile, in making Dolau Afon a happy welcoming place, to kick back and relax and share the wonderful area with it many hidden gems including its wonderful Dark Sky status.
