Tynllidiart Arms

This unique charming pub can boast to hold its own world record! The pub is home to the worlds smallest commercial brewery with a capacity of just 9 pints per batch (40.9 litres) which it sells in the bar.

When you enter the Tynllidiart Arms you will be struck by the feeling that this is a traditional pub with a menu to delight the most discernable pallet this is supported by the ‘Tyn’ as locals call it, being present in the Good Food Guide and the Good Pub Guide. The pub is well known for its racks of fresh local lamb and famous Cardigan Bay lobster.
Whilst your order is being taken you will more than likely be served by a welsh speaking person and you will most certainly be able to hear Welsh being spoken at the bar.
The Tynllidiart Arms can also boast that it has a fine selection of real ale, 5 in Summer and 3 in Winter, good wines and Malt Whiskies.

The Tynllidiart Arms has been owned and run by Margaret Phillips since 2004 when it was renovated and reopened after a 3-year closure. The pub is over 300 years old and is said to be home to a local ghost! The building has retained many original features; stone walls and wood lintels and an open fire. There is an outside seating area which is fenced making it suitable for bringing the family and there is also a decking area to the rear of the pub.

All food is homemade and to give you an idea of what you can expect and to set your mouth watering below is a very small selection of what is typically on offer…
  • Spicy Tiger Prawns with caramelised bananas in a Thai coconut sauce with lime and coriander.

  • Welsh Black beef stroganoff with horseradish mash
  • Salmon and Coriander fish cakes
