Job Summary / Purpose To facilitate the delivery of key recommendations of the Miller Upland regeneration Study as specified below which explored opportunities for economic regeneration in the Uplands. This will involve engaging with individuals, communities (geographical or interest), organisations & businesses to identify and support the development of community actions.
Main tasks
  • To work with accommodation providers, local attractions and amenities to develop an Upland Tourism Association
  • To develop the local economy by working within communities and with businesses to develop a place marketing campaign, to promote the Uplands area
  • Explore opportunities for developing a calendar of Events and Festivals that extend the visitor season.
  • Work with local communities and visitors to develop signage infrastructure.
  • Work with Farming connect and other business support organisations to identify ways of demonstrating to farmers and other rural businesses the benefits of engaging with the visitor economy.
  • Work with Community Councils to explore funding opportunities to facilitate infrastructure improvements in key areas.
  • To work with individuals, communities (geographical /interest) & businesses to inspire and build local capacity and facilitate the development of community actions.
  • The nature of this work is innovative and flexible in order to respond to the changing needs of the community therefore priorities may change from time to time at the direction of the Pentir Pumlumon Board.
  • Facilitating networking and consultation events.
  • To collate outputs ensuring compliance with requirements of LEADER scheme.
  • To identify opportunities for collaborative working with other organisation to ensure synergy.

7. Hours of work 24 hours a week, working on a flexible basis. This will include evening meetings and possibly weekends. A Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) system is operated.
8. Salary & Benefits £22,000–£25000.(depending on qualifications) (pro rata)


Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.

20 days paid holiday per annum, plus 8 statutory and bank holidays.
