There are two walks at the Devil’s Bridge Waterfalls attraction.
Walk 1. The Waterfalls Nature Trail & view of the Three Bridges.
£4 entrance via turnstiles and between £3.00 and £4.50 during the main season when there is an attendant on duty at the ticket office.
This walk takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on ability and fitness levels. For those adventurous enough to enter the walk, after seeing the 3 Bridges built one on top of the other, you will head along the path into the ancient woodland where you will be rewarded with views across the Rheidol Valley and of the spectacular 300ft Mynach Waterfalls. After descending Jacobs Ladder ( 100 continuous steps ) you will cross over the river using the old iron-humped bridge and then follow the steep steps back up along the edge of the waterfall cascades. Pop into the Robbers’ cave on the way and then rest while enjoying the view of the Cambrian Mountains from the top. Overall there are 675 steps.
Walk 1. The Punchbowl & view of the Three Bridges.
£2 per person via turnstiles or at the ticket office during the main season.
If the difficult Waterfalls Nature Trail is not within your ability or time schedule, then you can opt for the short walk called the Punchbowl Walk which will take you between 10 and 20 minutes. This section of the attraction is dedicated to providing you with views of the architectural feat of the 3 bridges built one on top of the other. There is nowhere in the world where this has been duplicated and is definitely worth a photo. On this walk, there are approximately 100 steps that lead you down to the lower viewing point where you can admire the bridges from below and also see how the river has created a ‘Punchbowl’ effect in the rocks by wearing away at the stone. After heading back up the steps you can relax in the top viewpoint seating area, enjoy reading the display boards and watch the small birds as they feed in the nature corner. If you can’t manage any steps, or very few, then you can just relax in the top viewpoint area. The disability access code is only available when there is staff on duty.
Depending on the time of year the attraction has various attendants on duty, please contact us if you have any specific queries or view our website for more information.
