The hut is a half mile from the famous Devils Bridge Falls, the Rheidol Steam Railway, the Hafod Hotel and Sarah Bunton Chocolate shop.

Gwarfelin is situated on the mountain road between Aberystwyth and the Elan Valley. Also the arch one and a half miles from the Hut and the Hafod Estate three miles. Bwlch Nant yr Arian roughly four and a half miles with its beautiful scenic walks, world class mountain biking and red kite feeding. Also and excellent cafe.
Twelve miles away sit the seaside town of Aberystwyth in the Cardigan Bay, with its own Victorian Pier, Cliff Top Railway, castle ruins and a lovely promenade. the
