Penrhyncoch Lakes (Aberystwyth AA)

Situated above the village of Penrhyncoch about 8 miles from Aberystwyth are a collection of five lakes in total provided mostly bank fishing. Fly fishing only at the smallest, Rhosgoch, spinning and worming allowed at the others, Craig-y-Pistyll; Blaenmelindwr, Pendam and Syfydrin, athough it is important that the visiting angler should always check the permit for regulations at time of issue. These lakes are bank fishing only. As well as providing some wild brown trout these lakes are also stocked by Aberystwyth AA with brown, brook and rainbow trout. Together with the Trisant lakes, Oerfa and Llyn Llygal Y Rheidol the visiting angler has a choice of nine/ten? lakes from the Aberysystwyth AA.
