The Rheidol Hydro-Electric Scheme is an interconnected group of reservoirs, dams, pipelines, aqueducts and power stations. The total area of the scheme is 160 square kilometres.
Enjoy a walk along the nature trail, or drive around the scenic upland reservoirs.
We invite you to learn and explore more about Pure Energy and Statkraft; an historical film and displays showing the Rheidol Hydro scheme and a tour of the Power station, café and classroom/meeting room facilities.

Rheidol Nature Trail
A 4km (2.5 mile) trail encircles Cwmrheidol reservoir. There are many varieties of shrubs and trees. Field, woodland and water birds, as well as migratory birds, are to be seen. Salmon and sea trout ascend a fish lift to the reservoir.
