Tefi Pools (Tregaron Angling Association)
Llyn Egnant, Lyn Hir, and Llyn Teifi are upland lakes, wonderfully situated, in close proximity, at the end of a mountain road, about five miles from the village of Ffair Rhos just off the main road from Pontrhydygroes to Pontrhydyfendigaid. Described by Tregaron AA, which controls them, as a remote fishery for the discerning angler, no fishmongers please, they offer the visiting angler the opportunity to fish for quality wild brown trout, in some of the remotest areas of mid Wales, and in a scenic setting which is so characteristic of the upland plateau country of Pumlumon. A traditional Welsh brown trout angling experience. Fly fishing from the bank is generally the rule although regulations should naturally be checked with Tregaron AA at the time of your visit.
Upper Teifi (Tregaron Angling Association)
The River Teifi flows out of the southern part of the Pumlumon area towards Tregaron and some river trout fishing is available from the Tregaron Angling Association which controls much of the fishing in this part as well as having extensive rights south of Tregaron towards Lampeter. The Teifi is, of course, a noted sewin and salmon river, particularly in its middle and lower reaches.
